JKI is pleased to announce the first maintenance release of VIPM 2010. Ever since VIPM 2010 launched at NIWeek back in August, we've been collecting feedback and bug reports from our users and partners, and this is the result of that feedback. JKI recommends that all VIPM 2010 users upgrade.
This release contains mostly fixes for bugs reported by VIPM users, but we've also made a few improvements. Here's a short selection of the changes:
- Package build numbers now start at 1 instead of 0.
- Added expand/collapse functions to Source File settings to improve build settings for large packages.
- When checking the network for packages, VIPM now only asks if you want to install new versions of packages you've already got installed.
- Fixed an issue that could cause packages to sort by version incorrectly.
- Improved handling of packages containing read-only files.
- VIs installed under "examples/RT" or "targets/NI/RT" are no longer mass compiled after a package install.
- Improved building of packages containing XControls.
