Sometimes I get questions from customers who are already using VI Package Manager to download LabVIEW add-ons from the LabVIEW Tools Network, and they now want to start building their own VI packages.
The best way to get started building VI Packages with VIPM is to take reusable code you've already written and just use the free VIPM Community Edition to package it! This turns your code into one or more modular, reusable packages that you can share with colleagues and friends, install under multiple versions of LabVIEW across one or many computers, and much more. Your packaged VIs even show up in your LabVIEW palettes!
I created this short video to demonstrate the process.
