Live Webinar on Friday's (every 2 weeks)

Accelerating Innovation with LabVIEW

Hosted bi-weekly by Jim Kring, Steve Ball and Team @ JKI

A live webinar series helping engineers understand, apply, and keep up to date on AI and related cutting-edge technologies, which are developing at a faster rate than ever before!

Alternating Fridays @ 10:00AM PDT

Join JimSteve, and the JKI team (along with select guests) every two weeks (for now) as we explore the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies. Learn about tools like machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing, and discover how to apply them to solve practical systems engineering challenges. We'll share insights on building real-world applications using LabVIEW, Python, and more, helping you innovate faster than ever before. Each session includes live demonstrations and a Q&A, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with experts. Don't miss this chance to stay at the forefront of technology – register now!.

Video Recordings of Past Events

▶️  E1: Launch! - In our first event, Steve Ball presents an introduction to Large Language Models (and Neural Networks) and shows how we can use them from LabVIEW.

▶️  E2: LLM Prompt Engineering - In this webinar, we discuss LLM Prompt Engineering, covering core principles and techniques to effectively guide large language models. We will explore key concepts such as specificity, context provision, and example usage, while demonstrating practical applications through LabVIEW examples of system prompts, role-playing, prompt generation, chain-of-thought reasoning, and prompt chaining.

▶️  E3: Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) - Learn about how to use a vector database + vector similarity search to store and retrieve relevant content from documents when generating dynamic prompts -- a.k.a. RAG or Retrieval Augmented Generation! It'll be a lot of fun, and we'll have lots of LabVIEW demos of AI in action.

▶️  E4: Docker Containers with LabVIEW - Learn about Docker Containers -- what are they and how JKI has been using them to run LabVIEW anywhere. We discuss how to virtualize automated software testing and builds in LabVIEW running on GitHub Actions in the cloud (on GitHub's hosted infrastructure), as well as how to streamline development of software reuse libraries and other LabVIEW tools with portable containers that can run and develop LabVIEW code just about anywhere!

▶️  E5: Agents, Tools, and Function Calling - Learn how agents combine LLM reasoning with external tool calling to perform complex tasks. The session covers potential agentic systems for LabVIEW, including automated code generation and optimization, natural language interfaces for complex systems, intelligent error detection, and enhanced data analysis and visualization. A practical demo illustrates these concepts, showing how these cutting-edge technologies can accelerate innovation and development in LabVIEW projects.
